FRIENDS, if you are looking for a super fun day trip, the Rainbow Trout Farm in Sedona is it!!!
We decided to load up the ice chest and escape the Phoenix heat for the day. A few friends joined us for a day trip to Sedona where we fished at the Sedona Rainbow Trout Farm, grilled all 18 of the fish we caught, had a picnic lunch, then swam in a nearby creek before heading home.
The Sedona Rainbow Trout Farm is a super relaxing, fun place. It’s only $1/person to fish and all equipment is provided (bamboo fishing poles, bait, hook removers), and you pay by the lb per fish you catch. There’s no catch and release. Staff will then clean the fish for you and you can purchase grilling packets (foil, salt, lemon juice, butter) or do like we did and bring your own. The trout farm is lined with picnic tables, grills and cabanas, so it’s a great spot to enjoy some lunch.
This was our second time visiting the farm and the friends we brought along LOVED it and can’t wait to go back. To plan your own trip, visit http://sedonarainbowtroutfarm.com/ or on FB at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Rainbow-Trout-Farm-in-Sedona/110215872390610
