This social distancing thing has forced the kids to become mighty creative to keep from being bored… Brayden decided to make homemade banana bread – even though we didn’t have the proper ingredients (DID IT TURN OUT TO BE EDIBLE?!), Mikayla & Charleigh learned how to make fresh-squeezed lemonade, and we all spent some time outdoors with the animals.

We needed worms for our new garden, so we visited the Arizona Worm Farm just in time for a tour (plus a BONUS TOUR you’ve gotta see)! It was INCREDIBLE and we learned so much about worms – including breeding, their diet, how their poop (aka castings) can benefit the food we grow – composting, chickens, black fly larvae and more!

The rain won’t keep us from enjoying the great outdoors! We hiked Waterfall Trail at the White Tank Mountains…. a short, easy-peezy hike that ends at a little, but beautiful waterfall.

Brayden’s bedroom got a makeover, Charleigh & Bryant got in BIG trouble for attempting to make SLIME on the laundry room floor with an entire bottle of laundry detergent, and 11 year old Mikayla went on a DATE! But hey, at least the animals were content on our little backyard farm!
