Citrus Thanksgiving Turkey Brine Recipe: The Perfect Flavor Boost for Your Holiday Feast

Looking to elevate your Thanksgiving turkey this year? This citrus-infused turkey brine is packed with festive flavors like oranges and cranberries to make your bird the star of the holiday table. Brining locks in moisture and ensures a juicy, flavorful turkey every time.

Ingredients:

4 oranges, sliced
1 package anise stars
4-5 small cinnamon sticks
5-6 bay leaves
1 bag cranberries, crushed
1 ½ cups kosher salt
2 tablespoons minced garlic
2 cups packed brown sugar
1 gallon apple cider
Enough water to fully submerge the turkey in a brine bag

Instructions:

Prep the Turkey: Make sure your turkey is fully thawed, remove the innards, and rinse the bird thoroughly under cold water before brining.

Combine all ingredients in a large brine bag or container.

Add the turkey, ensuring it’s fully submerged in the brine.

Refrigerate for up to 24 hours to let the flavors soak in.

This easy Thanksgiving turkey brine recipe creates a tender, flavorful turkey with a citrusy, spiced kick that will have your guests coming back for seconds.
