Jalena is a passionate wife, mama, and homesteader who lives with deep roots in faith, family, and freedom. A firm believer in living intentionally, she shares her journey of homesteading, homeschooling, and healing while embracing a slower, simpler life close to the land.
After years in law enforcement and hosting the Brave Babe Podcast, Jalena and her family left the fast pace of city life behind to pursue a quiet, purpose-driven existence in small-town South Carolina. Together, they raise their children—many through the beautiful journey of fostering and adoption—while growing food free from harsh chemicals, foraging, baking, canning, fishing, and raising animals on their homestead, Freedom Forest Farm.
Jalena is also a published author and experienced speaker, sharing not only about homesteading and sustainable living, but also raising awareness about childhood sexual abuse as a survivor and advocate. Whether through her words, her land, or her kitchen, Jalena’s heart is to encourage others to live rooted, resilient, and redeemed.
